DIY Water Toys For Kids
Play Time Need Not Be Bought In A Store
When the sun is scorching during the summer holidays, and the house is full of kids, every parent needs a reprieve. The simplest trick to get some alone time while the toddlers have fun is setting up a pool in the backyard and through in some water toys. The kids will not only enjoy the toys but also learn to be creative with them.
But who says that water toys have to be bought in a store for playtime to begin? Every home is filled with items that can be safely turned into a water toy.
Things At home That Can Be Used As A Water Toy
Scavenge around your home and search for:
- Funnels
- Baster
- Scoops
- Sponges
- Water cans
If you have sand toys, then throw then in. Something as simple as a colander can also be used as long as it is kid-friendly. Those holes in the colander make a fun shower for kids! Also, if you don’t have a plastic swimming pool, a small tub that holds enough amount of water is excellent for playtime too!
The Biggest Water Toy At Home: Hose
If your home is devoid of all the items mentioned above, worry not. For a kid, the best water toy is a hose. Those water pipes have an allure nothing can match. Though the chances of something lying at home which can be transformed into a water toy are high when all else fails, attach a pipe to a faucet and let the water flow!
Within seconds the kids will be happily playing with the hose unaware of what is going on in the world, while you can take a breather from running around.
